Guidelines for Upcoming Tournament Season

Please read before calling about event schedules

I'm sure everyone is excited to get the season started! Here is some information that may be helpful in planning for your next tournament:

  • All tournament dates are in the site Calendar - These events are visible within your respective program's Upcoming Tournaments webpage area.  Events will be visible on the AZ Region home page (with links) when pool schedules have been posted.
  • Pool assignments - Our target is to post pool site assignments by the Monday prior to the corresponding tournament date. Delays to this target could result from difficulty replacing dropped sites, slow results reporting from previous tournament (in the case of back-to-back weekends for the same division), late registrations/format changes (Adults), etc. We can't publish until everything is ready to post, as once it's live on the website, teams begin making travel plans; this can cause frustration/logistical issues when additional changes occur.  We appreciate your patience and understanding that calling the office to ask when they will be posted is counterproductive and will not speed up this process!
  • Results - Results will be posted as soon as all results have been submitted to the Region office.  While sites are required to submit results no later than noon on the Monday following the tournament, delays inevitably occur.  While we try our best to achieve 100% accuracy in assembling the data, human error can't be completely avoided; please contact the office if incorrect results are displayed.  This is most important if the same teams are playing again the following weekend!
  • Work Teams - Not all teams play the 1st round of a tournament, but all teams are required to be present by the coaches/captains meeting 30 minutes prior to the 1st match of the tournament.  In the event a team is a no-show, the format will change and your team will most likely be involved in the 1st match (playing or working). Please be aware if your team is the work team the 1st match so all courts can start on time!

We appreciate your willingness to observe these guidelines to get the first tournaments rolling smoothly.  Thank you, and best wishes for a fun-filled season!
