Coaches Meeting: 7:30 am START Time (AM Wave), 2:30 pm (PM Wave)
Tournament START Time: 8 am (AM Wave) and 3 pm (PM Wave)
- ALL teams must be checked in prior to the Coaches Meeting start time. There is an 8 point penalty assesed against a team whose coach does not check in prior to the coaches meeting and does not attend the coaches meeting.
- Format - Teams are straight seeded into divisions of 8 or less. Teams are divided into sub-pools within the division. Teams will play within their pool unless the division is 2 three team pools that will cross.
- Match play is best 2 of 3 sets to 25, 3rd set to 15, if needed.
- For pools where a team is missing the match play is Auto-3 - 3 sets to 25, 3rd set is not optional. The match winner is determined when one team has won 2 sets. If that happens after the 2nd set, the 3rd set results will not count in the event of a tie.
- Following the tournament play - Except in special circumstances - Four teams will move up, four teams will move down and no teams will stay in the same division.
- The teams will stay as they finished after play in tournament #6 for seeding into the Region Championships - no movement up or down.
- Ties will be resolved by the new USAV procedure adopted for 2020 (paraphrased as follows):
- 2 way tie by match % - the head to head winner of those 2 teams earns the higher pool finish
- 3 way tie by match % - finish determined by set % (sets won / total sets played)
- if 2 teams are tied in set % after one team's finish is determined by having the highest or lowest set %, then the head to head winner of those 2 teams earns the higher pool finish
- 3 way tie by match % and set % - finish determined by point % (points won / total points played)
- if 2 teams are tied by point % after one team's finish is determined by having the highest or lowest point %, then the head to head winner of those 2 teams earns the higher pool finish
- Please note: for any 3 team pool that does not cross with another 3 team pool, the 3 team pool will play 3 sets to 25 for their match. The 3rd set is not optional as this makes up for the match lost by one team missing from the pool. If one team wins the first 2 sets the match winner is determined and the 3rd set will not be considered in set % and point % calculations in the event of a 3-way pool tie.
