Hi Harold,

We spoke briefly at Mesquite High School this Saturday. I’m grateful to have this chance to follow up and let you know just how appreciative I am for your hard work, organization, dedication, and I'm sure headaches that it takes to make AZ Region Play available for Boys Volleyball. It’s unfortunate these days people are more willing to provide their complaints than appreciation, so I'm happy to pass along a heart felt THANK YOU to you and all those putting in the work. Your efforts are absolutely making an impact for our boys and families. I’m happy to share just how much AZ Region Boys Volleyball and Hanai Volleyball Club together have transformed my son- Robert from a tall and lanky, shy and timid young man to a strong and confident team-player. Now- I do realize that there are countless stories like Robert’s, but his story is the one that I’ve watched evolve and it’s extremely difficult to express just how much these experiences and opportunities to play Volleyball have meant to him and our family. In grade 8, Robert 13yrs decided to play volleyball and joined the school team where he saw little to no play time as the coach (a parent) most often played his 2 boys and their friends (but that’s how it goes). Robert took it in stride, so we went looking for opportunities for him to continue playing outside of school, and we found Hanai Volleyball Club where he played his first season in the AZ Region last fall (2022). I attached a video of his first match against AZ Fear and you can see the moment that shy young man began his journey of confidence, strength and friendships. I also attached another video so you can see his growth and just how important your hard work is for our boys. (The second video is from this past Saturday when he had is first shot at playing Opposite which he’s been training and working with his coaches to achieve).
