The Arizona Region of USA Volleyball extends its sincerest congratulations to a handful of amazing athletes who represented our state well!
Kamaile Hiapo, Kate Grimmer, Shannon Shields, Annie Hatch and Nicole Hoff were all named to the 13th annual Under Armour Girls High School All-America Teams.
"A record 793 nominations were submitted through the AVCA and MaxPreps, resulting in 150 All-America and Honorable Mention All-Americans. Many already committed to play collegiate volleyball at some of the top schools in the country," highlights The American Volleyball Coaches Association.
The 2018 AVCA Under Armour (UA) All-America match was played between the NCAA Semifinals and the Final match in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The 24 players who made up the two UA teams are First-Team All-Americans… the best 24 high school senior volleyball players in the country!

Honorable Mention
Kamaile Hiapo competed in Minnesota on December 14th as a First - Team All American for the West Team. It was a phenomenal match and she represented Arizona well!
Hiapo was the top Libero for the West team. She was flown to Minnesota all expenses paid. Under Armour sponsored over $2,000 worth of items and she competed with the top athletes from the country who will be going to Stanford, Nebraska, etc.
Fun note: Kamaile had a DS uniform because Under Armour only ordered 1 Libero uniform. Kamaile played half the set with the other Libero, but was allowed to attack.
