Girls Tryouts for 2023-24 Season
There was much discussion on a change for girls club tryouts from November to late July/early August. The reason for the consideration was due to the possibility that the National Qualifiers were going to require a roster for entry. If this were to happen, our teams would need a roster of at least 6 verified players and a head coach who was registered, background screened and current in their SafeSport training at the time of entry.
After much discussion at the Board meeting and passage of an early tryout proposal, the Junior Committee met to discuss the logistics of early tryouts. NO ONE WANTED TO DO EARLY TRYOUTS - not the Board, not anyone on the Jr Committee. It is not good for our players and their families, the school teams, the coaches and clubs that would now have NO break. The Board did not want to do this but wanted to protect the ability of our teams to be able to enter.
Since the Board meeting, it is now in writing by the USAV qualifiers that it's removed the roster requirement from the acceptance process!

2023-24 GIRLS' TRYOUTS DATES
- Girls AZ Region Tryouts for 11s - 14s may begin November 4, 2023
- Girls AIA High School State Championships will be November 11, 2023
- Girls AZ Region Tryouts for 15s - 18s may begin November 18, 2023
DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR THE VULTURE PEAK CHALLENGE IS MARCH 9, 2023
Register for the Vulture Peak Challenge by March 9th
NCQ and Vulture Peak Deadline - March 9
BOTH DEADLINES for the AZ NCQ (11s-17s) and for Vulture Peak are March 9th.
Late entries will not be accepted for the AZ NCQ.
Late entries for Vulture Peak will be accepted only to fill divisions.
Vulture Peak 14s will be capped at 48 teams.

REGION TOURNEY START TIME & COACHES MEETINGS
Every team must be be checked in and the coach/parent attend at the Coaches meeting regardless whether their team plays, refs or is off the first match.
With the 4 team pool format, if a team drops late on Friday it will not show on the website that they are not coming. If a team does drop, the pool format changes and everyone is playing or reffing the first match.
Please make sure your coaches understand that the team must be on site by first match of the pool start time and the coach must attend the Coach's meeting.
