Players who are 18 years of age must be in compliance with SafeSport.

Players who are 18s years of age or who will turn 18 prior to July 1st must be in membership compliance or be ineligible to play in national qualifiers and championships.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT FOR PLAYERS 18-YEARS-OLD PRIOR TO JULY 1ST

Junior 18s Membership within the Arizona Region of USA Volleyball requires a player to take SafeSport certification to be an eligible player. If a player who is 18 or turns 18 before July 1st purchased a regular Junior membership, they will not have the eligibility for a roster to a National Qualifier or Junior National Championship event. This incorrect membership purchase occurred many times last fall when players were purchasing new memberships for this season.

NOTE: USA Volleyball is going to "correct" these memberships in SportsEngine in the next week. It will change the players' Junior membership to an 18s Membership. Since SafeSport is required for this membership it will show the player now as "not eligible".

Please encourage your 18s players who are 18 or turning 18 before July 1st to check their membership type and make sure they have taken SafeSport so they have no eligibility problems at a National Qualifier... they will not be able to play without the SafeSport credential in their membership record.
