  1. Please list your involvement within the Arizona Region since 2010:

Commissioner, Arizona Region, 1997 - present.

  2. Please state your qualifications for this position:

Since the last election, I have attended all but one of the annual USA Volleyball National meetings and the Mid-year meetings. I have provided leadership at Arizona Region Board of Directors meetings, worked collaboratively with the rest of the Region leadership at the annual Arizona Region Retreat, assisted with the Junior Forum, and worked closely with the Ethics and Compliance Officer and the Officials Division. In addition, I have worked with the Arizona Region High Performance Director and the Board to maintain support or the Region teams (the Arizona Sizzle) to participate in the semi-pro league. In conjunction with the Outreach Director, I have worked to expand opportunities in the Region and to maintain an excellent working relationship with the AIA. I have collaborated with the Office Manager and staff to hire and maintain an efficient staff and productive working environment.
As a registered player for many years, I am familiar with the problems and concerns associated with the Region. I have been involved in tournaments as an organizer, coordinator, site director, player, coach, and official. My years of participation in the Region have given me the opportunity to work with many junior coaches and Club Directors as well as the adult players, coaches, Team Reps, and officials. My experience in the role of Commissioner has afforded me the opportunity to work with excellent members of the Board over the years that has resulted in many positive changes to the Region.
