The Arizona Region begins its fifth season offering Junior Beach Doubles for 2008. With the last four season’s unprecedented success, this program is now considered one of the premiere programs in the country thanks to YOU!
You will see some more changes for 2008.

First, you can now register for the program online with our new online registration system to be operational in mid April.

The USAV Junior Beach tour has added a Phoenix stop, The Desert Open,  on their country wide beach tour.

You have to register online for this tournament here

We will be using the "under age" groups that USAV and the FIVB uses to keep continuity to those players who play around the country.

The Region has added an "22 and Under" division for those college age players who still want to compete on the beach.

Tucson and Flagstaff will be running their own program under the umbrella of the Region's program.

We will again be awarding the season point winners in each age division by paying their entry fee into Junior Beach Nationals in August.

Register now and be a part of the fastest growing volleyball program in the southwest and enjoy the fun, the sun and the challenge of beach doubles in the desert.
To get started, tournament information, match formats, rules differences, partner qualifications, costs and special tournaments, go to the Region website and click on the beach page…

Proper Conduct from All expected as Season Winds Down

This club season, the Region Office has experienced a rash of behavioral issues coming from our tournaments.

As the season winds down please check your attitude and behavior at tournaments.  Parents please respectfully cheer for good play by all, refrain from approaching or yelling at the officiating crews (including the girls working the lines or score), make sure the team camp areas are clear of all trash and food, keep siblings away from the court and please watch what they are doing with markers/crayons that may be occupying their time.

Players please pay attention while you are officiating/scorekeeping, leave your cell phones at home for the tournament and display good sportsmanship regardless of the result of the match.

As the temperature heats up outside we don’t want behavioral issues to heat up inside.
Thanks for taking this to heart!

2008 Region Golf Tournament Information Announced

The 2nd annual Arizona Region Golf Tournament will be held September 20, 2008 and will be played at the Phantom Ranch golf course at the Pointe South Mountain.

Anyone may participate. The Region is not only looking for golfers, but for those willing to involve themselves with sponsorships and donations as well. All donations will be used as prizes at the event or included in our Development Grant fund.

The Arizona Region aims to facilitate both indoor and outdoor volleyball in a safe yet competitive environment for all those interested. As we continue to grow and our athletes continue to thrive, it is our goal to continue to provide for them as best we can. In doing so we have created a fund that will benefit projects to grow the sport of volleyball here in Arizona; for example, the money may be used to create a club in a low-income area where volleyball may not exist for financial reasons. By playing or making a donation, you will be promoting a safe and competitive environment for our athletes.
