To register for the tryout, athletes must do so on line at https://secure.infront.com/usavolleyball/tryouts/tryoutapp_1.asp

For more information, go to the HP link on the Region’s website.
The age groups for these teams are determined by the FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) and differ from USA Volleyball Junior Age Definitions. There are no waivers possible for these age divisions -

Regional Only Tryout slated for March 20th at South Mountain Community College

Those athletes that won't get a chance to tryout for the Arizona Regional HP team because they were going to be in Colorado for the Crossroads tournament will not get the same chance as those girls attending the National Tryout on March 9th.

The Arizona Region is hosting a Regional tryout for the Arizona High Performance teams on March 20th from 6:30-9:30 at South Mountain Community College.

The cost for this tryout will be $50. If you already tried out in Colorado or at another National tryout, wear your shirt and your fee will be waived.

This tryout is ONLY for the Regional teams that the Arizona Region is selecting. If you tried out at the March 9th tryout at Phoenix College, you do not need to attend this tryout.
There is no preregistration. Everyone will register that evening from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the site. You’ll need to download this paperwork and fill it out before you can tryout. It can be downloaded at from USA Volleyball

2008 American Volleyball Challenge Cancelled

The American Volleyball Challenge Tucson tournament has been cancelled for the 2008 season. The hope is to market the tournament to adjoining Regions and possibly bring the tournament to Phoenix in 2009. This series of tournaments is still figuring out what their market is and how best to approach that market.

Any team that has entered and paid for the tournament will be reimbursed. Any team that has entered and not paid will just not be entered any longer. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.

2008 Region Golf Tournament Information Announced

The 2nd annual Arizona Region Golf Tournament will be held September 20, 2008 and will be played at the Phantom Ranch golf course at the Pointe South Mountain.

Anyone may participate. The Region is not only looking for golfers, but for those willing to involve themselves with sponsorships and donations as well. All donations will be used as prizes at the event or included in our Development Grant fund.

The Arizona Region aims to facilitate both indoor and outdoor volleyball in a safe yet competitive environment for all those interested. As we continue to grow and our athletes continue to thrive, it is our goal to continue to provide for them as best we can. In doing so we have created a fund that will benefit projects to grow the sport of volleyball here in Arizona; for example, the money may be used to create a club in a low-income area where volleyball may not exist for financial reasons. By playing or making a donation, you will be promoting a safe and competitive environment for our athletes.

Region Girl’s Team Numbers are Up!

The Arizona Region has registered 344 teams for the 2007-08 volleyball season, a 6% increase from last season. The boy’s growth was even, with 36 teams both this year and last year.
