Specific
Items for AZ Region Tournaments:

2. There is NO pursuit
rule in AZ tournaments - not for
adults or juniors - even if there is room.

4.
Service Toss Error - Reminder that even though there
are 14's teams in the Championship Division the service toss error
is NOT in effect for all teams in the Championship Division tournaments.
The Championship Division tournaments are Jan 26, Feb 9, Feb 23,
Mar 29, Apr 26, May 10. The 14's teams in Championship Division
are playing by the same rules as the 16's & 18's teams.

Noisemakers at sites - USAV
has a policy that unless there is only one court in the venue no
noisemakers are allowed. The AZ Region
is following that policy. If you come across spectators or players
using artificial noisemakers (in other words anything but their
hands to clap) please educate them on this new policy and require
them to stop the use of the artificial noisemaker. This does not
mean that when the other court is done or waiting that noisemakers
can be used.
ADOT
is working on the roads - everywhere. For
Road Closure or restriction information check this website: www.az511.com The
directions we give to our sites do not include any road restriction,
construction or closure information. Please check this each
weekend before you head out to the site.
Note
for Tucson Sites: Make sure to get off the freeway at Prince
(coming from the North) and at the I-19 junction (if coming
from the south) and use the frontage road. The I-10 freeway
is under construction. You MUST use the frontage road to
get through Tucson if you want to be able to exit anywhere
in town.
