National Clinic Registration and Officials Commission Dues Payment Procedures
The USAV National Clinic program has continued to provide the most up to date information presented by the best clinicians to help you prepare for the season and educate the cadre of officials within your home regions. This has been a direct result of your continued support through active participation and candid feedback on the clinic evaluation documents. Once again, we have strived to respond to your requests and include segments that most concern you and those that will continue to prepare you for the responsibility of being a National level referee.
Again this year, there are three options for payment of the national clinic:
- You may pay the clinic fee at the same time you pay your Officials Commission dues of $40, but at a reduced rate of $15 for the clinic – in other words, you will pay a total of $55 for both your mandatory Commission dues and your national clinic fee. This must be done online and instructions are below.
- You may pay your Officials Commission dues of $40 as you have in the past with no additional fee paid at the time. If you then choose at a later date to register for a clinic through the National Office and pay in advance, the fee will be $20 as it was last year.
- If you decide late to attend a clinic and have not registered online at least ONE WEEK prior to the clinic you are attending, the fee will be $40 and the only option will be to pay at the door.
If you choose option one or two, follow these instructions for paying dues and/or clinic fee online:
- Go to WebPoint
- If you have forgotten your username or password, click at the top of the page and this information will be sent to you or email the AZ Region Office for assistance.
- Once you have logged into WebPoint, you will see some links on the page. You can either click on paying ONLY your Officials Commission dues, or you can click on the link to pay for both the Officials Commission dues and your clinic registration.
- When you click on either the dues or the combination of dues and clinic registration, you will see a page where you can update your contact information. Please ensure this information is correct before hitting submit.
- After clicking the submit button, you will come to a page where you fill in your credit card information.
- After filling out your credit card information, click on the register button to complete the payment.
- At this time, there is only one clinic to register for – which is Undecided. At a later date, you will be asked to register for the clinic of your choice – when they are all entered onto the site.
- If you have not renewed your membership for the 2012 season you need to do this. Click on the button on the left side menu Renew Online. Make sure to select all the roles that you are fulfilling with this membership (adult player, junior coach, official, etc). If you are only an official please choose the AZ Region Officials as your club. If you are also associated with a junior club or adult team, choose the junior club (first) or adult team as your club. You can pay for the membership and background screen online with a credit card. This is separate from the clinic registration and Officials Commission Dues. You will still need to send to the Region Office your Independent Contractor Agreement and your Official's Code of Ethics.
Additional fees may be added by the host depending on local expenses. These will be identified on the website with the list of clinics when known. Please contact the host region contact in advance to understand the actual cost of your preferred clinic. To register for a clinic if you have not prepaid, please go to WebPoint and log in. Select “Event Registration” from the left menu items and choose "USAV National Events". Select the clinic that you wish to attend. Complete the payment information and you will be registered for the clinic. If you have prepaid, select the “registration” tab at the top of the page and transfer your registration from “undecided” to the clinic of your choice. Contact George Egan (George.egan@usav.org ) for assistance at any time to register for a clinic.
All Jr National and National Referees are required to attend a National Clinic each year if they plan to officiate any of the National championships – Adult Open, Girls/Boys JNC. Failure to do so will limit your potential to work the Open Nationals or JNC events.
The National Clinics are not limited to National level referees. They are open to all certified experienced referees and we have heard that some regions may choose to use them to satisfy their regional recertification requirements.
Please be aware that we plan to offer the National clinic at the Open Nationals and the GJNC only, but this might be limited to one per tournament, more than likely at or near the beginning of the event. THERE WILL NOT BE A NATIONAL CLINIC AT THE BJNC IN 2012. The length of the clinic will be approximately 3 hours, so if attending the clinic at one of the tournaments, it is likely you will have to come in even earlier than in the past.
