Juniors Home Page Junior Boys It is official! 2010 Boys Jr National Championships - Austin, Texas - June 30 - July 7. Pre-tournament manuals will be posted on the USAV website in January. Junior Boys Region Championships end the Fall boys season on Dec 19th.. Check the Next Tournament link (left) for the locations of the tournament. Boys B Season for boys 14 and under teams will begin in March. Please let the AZ Region office know if you plan to participate by no later than Feb 26th - the earlier the better for our court purposes. Junior Girls Reno, Nevada will host the 2010 USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships June 24 - July 3. Pre-tournament manuals will be posted on the USAV website in January. The 2010 Juniors Girls schedule has been posted. There are some National Qualifier dates still fluctuating. It is not sure if or how this may affect the AZ Region tournament schedule. Train the Trainer Train the Trainer sessions are for clubs to send a coach or club director experienced in AZ Region tournament play (or two) who will be trained to teach the scorekeeping and refereeing disciplines to the girls in their club. Once the clinic is held for the club a verification of attendance at the clinic is required to be sent to the Region Office for each team. The Train the Trainer sessions are annual as the rules may change from year to year. Phoenix Metro Train the Trainer session has been scheduled for Friday, Nov 20th at 6pm at the Salvation Army Gym (this is a change). Please RSVP to the Region Office the number that will be attending and for which club. A Tucson Train the Trainer session has been scheduled for Sunday, Dec 13th at 10 am at Palo Verde HS. Please RSVP to Ron Pelham the number that will be attending and for which club. A Train the Trainer session has been scheduled at Northland Prep Academy on Sunday, December 13th from 1 pm - 4 pm. Please RSVP to the Region Office the number that will be attending and for which club. Junior Girls Score Ref Clinics Phoenix Metro score/ref clinics will be on Sat, Jan 2nd. There are two locations - Mark T Atkinson Middle School in west Phoenix and Mesa Community College in the east valley. Times will be established in 2 hour blocks for specific levels of instruction and posted here. There will be 5 sessions offered at each location in both scorekeeping and officiating beginning at 8 am. Please sign up early as the times do go quickly. Please send no more than 6 total people from each team to each discipline - this includes coaches. Reserve your team spot through the Region Office Eastside - An additional score/ref clinic has been scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 5th from 7 - 9 pm at Gilbert Jr High School. Individual players that could not attend with their own team on Jan 2nd may attend this as a make up clinic. This clinic is being held for the Molten VBC. We do not have the room to accommodate additional TEAMS in this clinic. Midtown - An additional score/ref clinic has been scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 5th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Madison #1 Middle School - 16th Street and Missouri in Phoenix. Individual players that could not attend with their own team on Jan 2nd may attend this as a make up clinic. This clinic is being held for the AZ Storm and AVA Volleyball Clubs. We do not have the room to accommodate additional TEAMS in this clinic. A Tucson score/ref clinic has been scheduled for Sunday, Dec 13th at 12 noon at Palo Verde HS. This is the Zona Volleyball Club clinics. A small number of teams may join this clinic as it will be large for the Zona Volleyball Club alone. Please RSVP to the Region Office if you will join this clinic. A score/ref clinic has been scheduled at Sedona Red Rock HS, Sunday, December 13th from 10 am - 12 noon. Please RSVP to the Region Office the number that will be attending and for which club. Score/Ref clinics in other areas or by individual clubs unable to attend the Jan 2nd clinics should be scheduled through the Region Office and approved by Jim Feickert - the clinician assignor.
