Jr Girls Open Region Championships

Coaches must have a CURRENT Signuptoplay Roster, Medical Release forms and Picture ID to check in. Your team will not begin playing until these are presented to the Site Director. Penalty points will accrue until it is completed. Anyone IN PROCESS on the roster in ineligible to participate.

Region Championship Info - Please Read - This is a different type of tournament

Coaches meeting: 8:30 am, Play starts at 9 am. Afternoon bracket play is schedule to start at 1 pm or 3 pm depending on the division. Following movement, coaches are to check in with site director upon arrival at new site. Make sure to bring your pool play format page received at the morning coaches meeting to the new site.

Region Championship T-shirts will be sold at all sites. Cost is $15 per shirt. Cash or checks (payable to Arizona Region with team name in the memo) only. Find your team name on the shirt. They are all there!!

Awards Medals and Champion t-shirts will be given to the Gold Division champion in both the 18's and 16's Divisions. Medals will be given to the runner up in the Gold Divisions. Champion certificates will ge given to the winning team of each successive Division - Silver, Bronze, Flight 1, etc.

Format - Pool play followed by cross pool match to determine championship division bracket. All playoff brackets will be 5 or 6 team single elimination brackets with consolation games for place where the numbers allow.

Following Pool Play - 18 Open Division - each division will cross pool with the other pool in their division. The #1 finishers will play each other, the #2 finishers will play each other and the #3 finishers will play each other. The teams in Pool F1 & F2 will play two matches in their pool and then cross pool - it is not a full 4 team pool. The teams will then travel to their respective sites for championship play. Go directly to the site - do not stop for lunch. Bracket is schedule to START at 3 pm.

16 Division - The 16 Open Division Pools A - E will not cross pool. Pool F will play the team in their "pool" and then the winners will play the losers of the other "pool". The top team in Pools A-E will go to the Gold Division, the second place teams in Pools A-E will go to the Silver Bracket and the 3rd place teams in Pools A-E will go to the Bronze Division Bracket. The winners of the cross matches in Pool F will advance to the Gold. The losers will will be placed in the Silver Division bracket. With all the pools at one site there will be a short break for food and then the bracket is scheduled to START at 1 pm.

18 Gold Division will be played at Atkinson Pavilions - places 1 - 6 - winner of 1st place cross pool matches in Pools A-F

18 Silver Division will be played at South Mtn CC - places 7 - 12 - loser of 1st place cross pool matches in Pools A-F

18 Bronze Division will be played at Salvation Army - places 13 - 18 - winner of 2nd place cross pool matches in Pools A-F

18 Flight 1 Division will be played at Kingdom Courts - places 19 - 24 - loser of 2nd place cross pool matches in Pools A-F

18 Flight 2 Division will be played at Kingdom Courts - places 25 - 31 - winner of 3rd place cross pool matches in Pools A-F

18 Flight 3 Division will be played at Phoenix College - places 32 - 37 - loser of 3rd place cross pool matches in Div. A-F

16 Gold Division will be played at Buckeye HS - places 1 - 6 - winner of Pools A-E & winner of Pool F cross pool match.

16 Silver Division will be played at Buckeye HS - places 7 - 12 - second place in Pools A-E & loser of Pool F cross pool match.

16 Bronze Division will be played at Buckeye HS - places 13 - 17- third place in Pools A-E.
