2010 Camps / Clinics

The Arizona Region does not endorse any camp.  The information listed is for your information only and is listed as received.  We have no other information other than what is posted here. Please contact the camp directors directly for any information.

For clinics or camps that fall after September 1st, no tryouts may take place at the camp, no club registration may take place.

Phoenix College Volleyball will host "Little Bears" volleyball clinics every Tuesday through May and June.

• For Girls & Boys entering the 9th grade in the Fall and below
• No age restrictions on young players
• Skill training from 6:30pm to 7:30pm
• Team play from 7:30pm to 8:30pm
• Participants will be grouped by ability
• Each participant will receive a Phoenix College Volleyball T-shirt
• Mail and Walk up registrations accepted until the camp is full, so first come first serve.

May Camp Dates ($40): 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25
June Camp Dates ($50): 6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is hosting their "Take Flight" camp July 17 - 19. On-camp lodging (optional) and meals are available to all participants. To learn more about the camp and to register, download the "Take Flight" flyer.

June 21-23 and July 12-14, AM & PM Sessions

Cost is $100 per session. Price includes a jersey and nine hours of skill-specific instruction designed for competitive athletes ages 4-15.

*AM = 9am-12pm, PM = 1-4pm. Your child may be placed in the other time bracket depending on interest in a particular session.*

Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California has an experienced staff of outstanding college coaches and players that understand the needs of today's athletes and how to help those athletes be the best that they can be. Their innovative methods include training each player at all phases of the game, while also providing advanced instruction for players within their position. LMU's goal is to have athletes take take game to another level and learn more about preparing themselves to be the best player they can be.

Campers are sure to go home with a newfound confidence in their game as well as the comfort of knowing they have experienced a positive learning environment that will help in all that they do in the game of volleyball. Tiger Volleyball Camp 2010, hosted by Gilbert High School, consists of five 4-day sessions from June 1st to July 1st.

Level B - ages 11 to 17 - 7:30 to 10:30 AM

Level A - ages 10 and under - 10:30 to 11:30 AM

Advanced Camp (HS Level only) - July 29th, 30th, 31st - 8:30am-11:30 ($150) This camp is for experienced campers only! Campers should be familiar with all basic fundamental skills and want to better their overall game by "simplifying" their current technique.
14 and under (Beginner/Intermediate) - July 29th, 30th, 31st - 12:00 - 2pm ($120) For Beginner/Intermediate boys and girls regardless of age. Learn all the basic fundamentals of the game.

Terri Spann's Boys Volleyball Camp provides an opportunity for each player to improve their fundamental volleyball skills in a simplified manor as well as an intense learning environment. Sessions will include: skills taught for passing, setting, hitting, serving, defense, and blocking. Each skill taught has a unique twist on it to help “simplify” the game for each individual athlete. I am a big believer in challenging each player above and beyond what they thought they were capable of. If you want to get better, be held accountable and prepare yourself for the next level, I encourage you to participate in this camp.

Desert Ridge High School
JAGUAR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The Jaguar Girl’s Volleyball Camp is a week long day-camp for girls of 3rd grade and up. The Camp is designed to improve individual volleyball skills and strategies, while promoting a fun, healthy environment. Camp staff will train the athletes using drills, demonstrations, feedback, and lecture.
Camp will focus on the fundamental skills of the game. Opportunities will be provided for all campers to be adequately challenged throughout the week.
