Junior Boys 2008 Region Championships

Please respect the sites we are using. We are hard pressed for courts in the boy's club season due to girl's volleyball and boys and girls basketball high school seasons. We can't afford to lose gyms. Items like trash left behind, food brought into the gym, food and trash dumped under the bleachers, vandalism of the site - rest rooms, bleachers, volleyball equipment, etc - and disrespecting the site director and/or host staff can cause us to lose a facility. Take responsibility for your actions. Let's make sure all players, coaches and parents and club directors are respectful of the facility, hosts, staff and officials. There is no room in our program for players, coaches, parents or club directors that disrespect any of these. We are thankful for each and every site that is available for us to use.

NOTE on Directions to sites: The directions that are posted are the most direct we can find. It does not take into account road construction or restrictions. Please check www.az511.com for any road restrictions that may be in effect on any given weekend.

T-shirts
Region Championship t-shirts will be sold at all sites. The cost is $15. Cash, Checks or Credit Cards are accepted.

Check-in should be completed at the site director desk prior to the coach's meeting start. Coaches must have in their possession medical release forms for each person on the team, a signed Signuptoplay.com roster of their team and a picture ID. If any of these are missing the team will not be participating until such time as they do have them. Rosters must show all USAV numbers - Rosters with IN PROCESS will not be accepted.

Coaches - you are responsible for your team's camp area. When the tournament is over, the team camp area is to be cleaned up entirely before the team leaves the site. This has been a huge problem in the past. If this becomes a problem this year, sanctions will be given to those teams that leave the site a mess. This also includes your bench area when your team is on the court - please remove your water bottles from the bench area at the end of every match.

Formats: ALL Divisions - Pool Play followed by single elimination bracket play for place within their own division. In all pools you must take first or second to advance to the Championship bracket. The third and fourth places in the pool will play in a Contender Bracket. Three team pools will cross pool for placement into the brackets. In the three team pools only the winners of the 1st/2nd crosspool matches will move into the Gold Division.

Tournament withdrawl & early departures
If your team will not be playing in any given tournament, you must notify the Arizona Region office no later than 48 hours prior to avoid a Late Withdrawl Fine of $50. If the team does not show at a tournament they will be charged a $100 No Show Fine. Any of these fines must be paid in full before the next tournament or the team will be pulled from the tournament.

Teams that leave the tournament before they are done - playing or officiating - will also be fined $100 for vacating their assigmnents. All fines must be paid prior to the next tournament or the team will be pulled from the tournament. Forfeiting matches leaves another team without the requisite number of matches for each tournament. We rely on teams for officiating assignments. Leaving without completing yours causes confusion and delay of the tournament for everyone. Please make plans to stay for the entire tournament.
