Team USA Wins
Big in Beijing!
USA Volleyball wins big in Beijing
with 3 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal in the four volleyball
competitions. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh take the
Gold in the Women's Beach Volleyball Competition, Todd
Rodgers and Phil Dalhausser take the Gold in the Men's
Beach Volleyball Competition, the Men's Olympic Team take
the Gold in the Men's Indoor Volleyball Competition and
the Women's Olympic Team take the Silver Medal in the Women's
Indoor Volleyball Competition. Elaine Youngs/Nicole Branaugh
and Sean Rosenthal/Jake Gibb also competed in the Beach
Volleyball competitions and advanced to the playoffs only
to be eliminated before reaching the medal rounds.
Reid Priddy (Arizona Primitive/Mtn
Pointe HS) of the Men's Olympic Team and Kim Glass (University
of Arizona) of the Women's Olympic Team were our Arizona
connections.

Club Set to Start Sept 1st
Boys
Clubs in Arizona may begin their tryouts on Sept 1st for
the 2009 indoor volleyball season. New teams are forming
all over the state. If you are interested in joining a
boys club team, check the Club
Directory for a club near you. Tournaments begin Oct
4th.
Reminder
that no club may commit players or hold tryouts before
Sept 1st.
