Weekend Draws Raves!
Over
80 coaches from Arizona and beyond attended the Region’s
Education weekend November 3-5th and many began the process
of earning their Coaches Accrediation Program levels I and
II.
Friday
started with a Coaches clinic at the Tempe YMCA with John
Kessel. Nearly 20 coaches attended and learned from one of
USA Volleyball’s best teachers.
Friday
night was led by Robert Brown as he gave his class the insights
to VCAP, the strength and conditioning portion of the weekend.
With several of the coaches in attendence doing the drills
and skills required of their atheltes in VCAP, a good time
was had by all.
Saturday
morning began the CAP courses. John Kessel, Diana Cole, Stu
Sherman and Bill Neville spent the next two days dazzling
the CAP classes with insights, stories, theories and demonstrations.

I really enjoyed the video clips and would like
to have them available to show parents if the need
ever presents itself.
While the weekend was long, the organization, presentations by the Cadre,
food and activities flow was AWESOME and made the two days go by quickly.
I was actually very surprised when the IMPACT Clinic was over, I felt
like my players after an especially fun and productive practice and I
caught myself saying, "Really? Is it over already? More, more, more!!!"
I had practice last night and my teams really enjoyed the new elements
that I added following my inspirational, exciting and fun weekend!!!!

The
weekend wrapped up with an IMPACT course Sunday night for
20 of the Region’s coaches looking to get it from the
man who literally wrote the book, John Kessel himself.
Thank
you for the great job hosting the recent CAP course.
Superb! The hospitality and obvious passion for
growing the game was obvious in every person with
whom I came in contact.
Terrific
job. Please convey my appreciation to any and
all people that were involved.
