Hildebrand Named AVCA National Player of the Week

(Colorado Springs, CO) Sophomore setter, Tyler Hildebrand (former Club Cactus Jrs & Red Mountain HS) of the Long Beach State Men’s Volleyball team was named as the Sports Imports/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Player of the Week for the period ending April 25.

Every two years the Regular members of the Arizona Region are called on to vote for all but one of the positions on the Executive Board of Directors.

Ballots will be accepted through May 8th.


The 2004 National Volleyball Championships were held May 29-June 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.  The Arizona Region was represented in the tournament by 12 teams.  Congratulations to all the teams and individuals playing with teams from other regions that participated. 

The 2005 National Volleyball Championships will be held in Denver, Colorado.
