Coaching Education Policy and Requirements

USA Volleyball requires that all coaches have be IMPACT certified once. The Arizona Region values continuing education for all coaches and therefore requires such. In order for our players to get better, our coaches must continue to advance their education of the game as well. All first year coaches to club must take IMPACT before they may coach in any tournament - preferably before they hold any practices. Following IMPACT coaches must recertify with an approved type of coach's education a minimum of every 3 years unless it is a CAP certification whereby the certification is good for 4 years. It is the Club Director's responsibility to monitor and enforce within their club that their coaches are properly certified before they may coach at ANY tournament. Any coach not certified or current in their certification will not be allowed to participate in any tournament until they are certified current. Sanctions may be imposed on the club director and the coach should this requirement not be met.
