This tournament is different than any of the other tournaments. There is money and awards on the line so there are different requirements to be an eligible team. First and foremost any team that is using players that have not played in at least two Region power tournaments with this team are not eligible to advance to the Championship bracket. Any team that has not played in at least two tournaments is not eligible to advance to the Championship bracket. In both these instances the teams will be allowed to participate in bracket play just not the Championship bracket.

All teams not meeting the eligibility requirements must disclose the use of ineligible players or their team ineligibility to the site director at check in so as not to delay the placing of teams into the brackets. Rosters will be sent to the tournament from the Region office.

Start Times: 8:30 am Captain's Meeting, 9 am START time, unless noted above. All Teams must have 6 members on site by the Captain's meeting or risk being removed from the tournament.

Format: Pool play followed by single elimination bracket play. For all but Men's B/BB the top two teams from each pool will advance to the Championship Bracket. The remaining teams in each division will play in the Consolation Bracket for place. Men's B/BB top two teams will play the Championship Match. The remaining two teams will play for 3rd & 4th place.

In all divisions any team that does not meet the criteria for an eligible team will not be allowed to advance to the Championship bracket. The next highest finishing team that is eligible in the pool will advance to the Championship bracket.

Awards - The winner of each of the four Championship brackets will receive a gold medal and Championship t-shirt. The runner up will receive the silver medals. The winner or highest finishing team in each of the four divisions will also have their entry fees into the National tournament reimbursed following the National tournament and the submission of an article for the Newsletter about the experience of attending the National tournament. The deadline for submission of an article is Aug 1st.

Tournament Withdrawl Policy:  If you are confirmed to play and do not show up for the tournament, your team WILL BE FINED $100.  If your team is unable to play, you MUST notify the AZ Region office NO LATER than Thursday prior to the tournament to avoid a penalty.  You will be assessed a $50 late withdrawl penalty if you withdraw Friday after 12 noon - prior to the tournament because we will have to reformat and reprint the tournament materials.  If you withdraw Friday after the office closes, you will be a no show.  These fines must be paid prior to your team playing in another sanctioned tournament.  These fines are in addition to the loss of entry fee for the tournament.

Open National Championships Reimbursement - In both the Men's and Women's Divisions the A/AA and B/BB teams will split into their respective divisions for the Region Championships. The A/AA Champion (or highest finishing team that is qualified and attending the Open National Championships if the Champion is not attending) will receive full reimbursement for their National's entry fee after the Nationals tournament is completed. The B/BB Champion (or highest finishing B/BB team that is qualified and attending Nationals if the Champion is not attending) will receive the balance of monies collected from each tournament entry fee as a reimbursement. To qualify for the reimbursement of fees the team: 1. Must have played in at least 4 regular power tournaments 2. Must consist of at least 80% of their original roster (if playing in the club division) or 80% Arizona Region members (if playing in Open or Master's Divisions).
